Senior Civil Engineer - Remote

Overview

WSP is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for our Portland, OR office, with consideration for Salt Lake City, UT. This role involves working on projects within our Clean Energy Business Line, providing engineering services to hydropower and utility-scale generation clients across the United States, and contributing to climate change responses through infrastructure development.

In Short

• Perform professional civil engineering work and conduct investigations and inspections.
• Collect and analyze data from various sources for project development.
• Incorporate advanced modeling techniques and design requirements.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team on project execution.
• Prepare data visualizations and technical reports.
• Maintain quality control standards and procedures.
• Assist with project development and scoping.
• Conduct engineering studies and surveys.
• Assist in preparing Health and Safety Plans.
• Collaborate with infrastructure authorities on various projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training Certification, working towards PE Certification.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to coordinate with agency regulators.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Moderate proficiency with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Occasional travel may be required.
