World University Service of Canada (WUSC) is a prominent Canadian international development organization dedicated to enhancing education, economic opportunities, and empowerment for disadvantaged youth globally, with a particular focus on women and displaced individuals. With a vision of fostering a world where every young person can thrive and belong, WUSC collaborates with a diverse array of stakeholders, including civil society, post-secondary institutions, the private sector, and youth themselves, to address complex challenges at a systemic level. Active in over 25 countries and in Sri Lanka since 1989, WUSC aims to create lasting change through initiatives like the STRIVE project, which seeks to strengthen the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) ecosystem in Sri Lanka's Northern and Eastern provinces, ultimately improving the economic wellbeing of young people, especially young women.
