Overview

Interns are a critical part of the World Affairs Council and will contribute to its mission while gaining hands-on work experience. The Council is seeking dedicated and goal-oriented volunteer interns to work for our Community Programs team with the prospect of completing projects that may be used in a work portfolio or for academic credit.

In Short

  • Applications are on a rolling basis. Currently, this position is for a start date in January 2025.
  • End dates are flexible to the student's schedule so please specify your availability in your application.
  • Applications for six months or longer are strongly preferred.
  • Interns assist the CP team in the research and planning stages, as well as day-of logistics for all World Affairs Council public events whether in-person, virtual, or hybrid.
  • Tasks include coordinating event logistics, researching new programs, and drafting event descriptions.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Office and excellent time management skills are required.
  • This is an unpaid internship.
  • In-person work is preferred but a hybrid schedule can be accommodated.
  • All positions are open until filled.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in international relations.
  • Proficient in written and conversational English.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • No education requirement - applicants from all backgrounds are welcome.
