Overview

The Environmental Services Aide Level I is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment to enhance quality patient care at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

In Short

• Part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit.
• Responsible for cleaning patient care units, isolation rooms, and common areas.
• Sanitize bathrooms and restock expendable items.
• Perform floor cleaning and trash collection duties.
• Follow safety practices and infection control policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility entrances.
• Respond to department requests in a timely manner.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures.
• Participate in professional growth through training.
• Work evening shifts on a per-diem basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of environmental services/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Attention to detail and customer service skills.
