In Short

  • Operates CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Ensures patient preparation and safety during exams.
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals to improve image quality.
  • Maintains effective communication with patients and staff.
  • Performs venipuncture for contrast administration.
  • Attends staff meetings and maintains necessary certifications.
  • Participates in quality assurance and improvement projects.
  • Assumes on-call coverage responsibilities as needed.
  • Trains and instructs students and personnel.
  • Adapts to changing work environments and patient needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology.
  • Current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license.
  • ARRT certification in CT preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Radiologic technologist preferred.
  • BLS certification required within one year of employment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Understanding of digital imaging and hospital information systems.
  • Physical capability to lift patients and equipment.
  • Awareness of safety standards and procedures.
