Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Accountant will independently manage ongoing financial accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger responsibilities while collaborating closely with tax advisors and auditors.

• Independently manage ongoing financial accounting (AR, AP, and general ledger)
• Review and post invoices, receipts, and bank transactions in multiple currencies
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (HGB & IFRS)
• Support budget planning and monitoring
• Maintain and develop controlling tools (e.g., Excel models)
• Prepare VAT returns and financial/tax reports
• Collaborate closely with tax advisors and auditors
• Help with in-house payroll processing
• Ensure accurate account maintenance
• General administrative activities in accounting

Requirements

• Completed commercial training or qualification as a tax clerk
• Analytical and accurate mindset, initial experience in controlling is an advantage
• Solid knowledge of accounts payable and receivable booking
• Fluent in German and good English skills
• Familiar with German tax law and payroll processes
• Strong accounting foundation and experience with tools like DATEV, SAP, or Lexware
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
• Careful, structured, and reliable working style
• Strong communication skills and a high sense of personal responsibility
