Weston is seeking a licensed Senior Electrical Engineer with a background in low to medium voltage distribution and power supply design required for miscellaneous non-commercial applications. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in the design of new as well as upgrading existing systems to provide power for electric vehicle charging, battery backup, produced AC from solar systems, power for pumps and motors, and versed in <13.2kV distribution systems. The selected candidate will have a proven track record in working on multi discipline projects leading the electrical design from field reconnaissance and preliminary concept design through issued for construction and commissioning of systems with a strong sense of community learning and mentorship.

• Location: Houston, Austin, San Antonio or Dallas, Texas; West Chester, PA; Chicagoland Area, IL; or Concord, NH (remote considered for very strong applicants only)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum 15 years related experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with active NCEES account.
• Knowledge of industrial systems power supply and DOD power distribution design.
• Familiarity with non-manufacturing engineering consulting.
• In depth knowledge of analysis tools and modeling software.
• Experience preparing, issuing, evaluating, and negotiating construction bids.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Able to perform site visits and bid walks.

Requirements

• Experience in completing arc flash studies using SKM, ETAP or equivalent software.
• Able to supervise/direct engineering staff on design and technical tasks.
• Possess (or able to obtain) a security clearance for work at Federal facilities.
• Experience in developing scopes of work for bid packages.
• Participate in professional societies and other similar organizations.
