Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Irish Translator to join our team, offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in professional translation, localization, and linguistic research.

In Short

• Assist with copy-editing tasks for assigned projects in Irish.
• Perform on-demand translation tasks between Irish and English.
• Support linguistic adaptation tasks for English content.
• Manage and maintain linguistic materials, including glossaries and style guides.
• Contribute to project-related queries and collaborate with team members.
• Support quality assurance processes by testing new freelancers and vendors.
• Participate in the development of new working processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on linguistic matters.

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Translation or related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in Irish and English.
• Familiarity with localization processes and translation workflows.
• Basic understanding of CAT tools and issue-tracking tools is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage priorities.
• A passion for linguistic and cultural diversity.
