Freelance Chinese (Simplified) UI and Marketing Linguist - Remote

Overview

We are looking for several English into Chinese (Simplified) linguists to join our growing team for one of our global clients, a music streaming company with various important entertainment services such as music streaming, podcasts, etc. They will take ownership of the incoming work on this account and will actively contribute to the success of the program.

In Short

• Translate and review content from English into Chinese (Simplified)
• Content types: Marketing/Social media
• Use CAT Tool: Smartling
• Expected capacity per week: 2,000 to 5,000 words

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience translating and reviewing content
• Proficient in marketing and social media
• Well-versed in translation & terminology tools
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Native fluency in Chinese (Simplified)
• Degree in linguistics, translation or equivalent experience
• Able to follow instructions and character restrictions
• Able to communicate effectively the rationale behind translations
• Able to both translate and review
• Experience in a multi-vendor scenario is a plus
