Overview

Welocalize is seeking a passionate and culturally fluent Arabic (Egypt) linguist to join our localization team. You will help shape compelling in-app content and user experiences that resonate with Egyptian Arabic-speaking audiences.

In Short

• Perform LQA reviews adhering to quality guidelines.
• Handle arbitrations and drive linguistic consensus.
• Update terminology and TM within the Smartling environment.
• Answer linguistic queries following management processes.
• Lead the Arabic (Egypt) LQA review team.
• Liaise with translation teams to share constructive feedback.
• Provide linguistic and cultural consultation to clients.
• Monitor published content for improvements.
• Proactively monitor language quality performance.

Requirements

• Experienced linguist in the social media and app sector.
• Native speaker of Egyptian Arabic with fluent English skills.
• 5+ years as a linguist; at least 2 years in Copy Editing/Review.
• Active user of digital platforms with app familiarity.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Soft skills: feedback, coaching, and negotiation.
• Availability for required weekly time allocation.
