Credit Underwriter - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Underwriter to assess creditworthiness and support lending decisions while also facilitating onboarding and account maintenance tasks for the Watercress contractor base.

• Assess creditworthiness and support lending decisions.
• Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and risk factors.

• Coordinate the credit approval process and manage loan adjudication.

• Assist contractors with payment solutions and financial products.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the financial sector.
• 1 year of underwriting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of consumer credit and lending practices.
• Acute attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make timely and sound decisions.
