In Short

Optimising existing GCP and GraphQL infrastructure estate from a cost and resource-usage perspective
Optimising containerisation deployment and scaling strategies, incl. version control and resource-usage optimisation
Consulting on said optimisation for senior client stakeholders
Ongoing design and deployment of core GCP and GraphQL Infrastructure services, including container-based infrastructures
Building multi-layered caching strategies to improve overall system performance
Providing strategies for new environments to support Performance testing
Implementation of strategies to improve cost allocation/tagging
Optimisation of existing CI/CD pipelines, including shift-left testing and increased automation in QA and infrastructure provisioning
Owning the view of e2e infrastructure and observability in the context of configuration management, improving performance, and reducing costs

Requirements

Understanding and communicating the strengths and weaknesses, from experience and education, of: Infrastructure and Configuration as Code
Safe Deployment strategies and CI/CD
GCP Cloud-based and Cloud-native system design
Observability
Developer Experience
Cost and performance optimised infrastructure design
DevOps and SRE
Delivering Cloud Infrastructure solutions as part of an experienced cross-disciplinary team with hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business applications at scale
Commerce and retail experience
Extensive experience with GCP Cloud Infrastructure
