Design, deploy, and optimize complex Azure cloud environments for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Lead the implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions, including networking, storage, identity management, and security.
Establish best practices for resource scaling, cost monitoring, and cloud performance optimization.
Develop and manage automation solutions using Azure Automation, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Terraform.
Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure by managing Azure Security Center and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
Oversee cloud resource and application performance using Azure monitoring tools.
Lead a team of cloud engineers, providing mentorship on cloud best practices, automation, and security.
Maintain comprehensive documentation on cloud architecture, automation processes, and security protocols.
Stay up to date with emerging Azure cloud technologies and identify opportunities for innovation.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless cloud service integration.

Requirements

7-9 years of professional experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer.
U.S. citizenship status required due to government contract.
Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud services, including virtual machines and Azure Active Directory.
Strong hands-on experience with cloud automation tools such as Azure Automation and Terraform.
In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices, including IAM and network security.
Experience with DevOps principles and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Git).
Public Trust Clearance preferred.
ITIL 3-4 certification preferred.
Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a plus.
Familiarity with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud architectures is beneficial.
