Experienced Tax Preparer - Remote

Overview

Jordan CPA Services is looking for a seasoned Tax Preparer who is experienced in ProConnect Tax to handle various tax-related tasks in a collaborative remote environment.

In Short

• Prepare 200+ tax returns (1120S, 1065, 1040) using year-end financial statements.
• Review 50+ simple returns prepared by team members.
• Make tax-related adjustments and document accounting entries.
• Prepare tax projections and quarterly estimates.
• Troubleshoot filing issues and conduct tax research as needed.
• Maintain online project management tools for organization.
• Work independently while collaborating with the team.
• Focus on efficient and satisfying tax work.
• Meet clear expectations with strong support.

Requirements

• 3+ years of public accounting experience required.
• 2+ years of experience using Intuit ProConnect Tax required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a collaborative remote environment.
• Strong understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals.
• Experience preparing returns in various states.
• Understanding of S Corp shareholder basis and multistate taxation.
• Proficient in managing workload in a tech-enabled environment.
• Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to deepen technical knowledge.
• CPA, EA, or MST preferred.
