Overview

The Early Intervention Monitor will conduct reviews of programmatic compliance and coordinate with Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Stakeholders to ensure their program goals are achieved as stakeholders and partners supporting relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.

In Short

  • Conduct Payee and Complaint reviews
  • Assist with Child and Family Connections (CFC)
  • Provide support of tool changes, form letters, report templates, and internal/external resources
  • Attend all internal meetings, Child and Family Connections (CFC) meetings, and Illinois Interagency Council on Early Intervention (ICCEI)
  • May serve as a program representative for special interests (ex. State Systemic Improvement Plan)
  • May assist with training new team members

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Early Childhood or Social Service Administration-related fields such as Developmental Psychology, Education, Pediatric Science, Social Work, or other degrees relevant to delivering or evaluating programs that serve vulnerable populations.
  • At least one year of experience with Early Intervention services or working with children aged from birth to five.
  • Technical proficiency with MS Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint. Expertise with web-based compliance software is preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to provide technical assistance professionally and concisely.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly without spelling, grammar, punctuation, or formatting errors.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to match field conditions with relevant laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Extreme sensitivity to appropriate recording and transmission of confidential or Personally Identifying Information (PII).
  • Outstanding teamwork skills: the ability to work cooperatively with others, to be part of a team, listen and respond to others with respect, and act on behalf of the larger organization.
  • Provide timely, attentive, upbeat service to clients while ensuring their needs are met in a manner that reflects positively on the organization.
  • Excellent time-management and critical thinking skills to analyze the data and form a judgment based on technical knowledge of EI services and contracts.
  • Travel in the State of Illinois may be required. You must possess a valid driver’s license to travel for company business.
