Electrical Designer (Hybrid/Remote)

In Short

• The Designer works with Engineers and Project Managers to prepare complete construction documents.
• Layout plans, sections, and details to specified CAD standards.
• Create online diagrams, power, and lighting plans.
• Provide direction and distribute work to Technicians.
• Review and back-check Technician's work.
• Coordinate designs with team members and product vendors.
• Communicate with clients and/or contractors regarding RFI's and field questions.
• Review shop drawings.
• Develop design skills to support technical expertise.
• May require occasional travel for site observations and field measurements.

Requirements

• Certificate in construction-related design/drafting or higher and at least 3 years of directly related experience.
• OR at least 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of certificate.
• Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
