Power Engineer (Electrical Systems & Power Generation) - Remote

Overview

Our ideal candidate is a Power Engineer who will design and optimize electrical systems for modular waste-to-energy plants at our new Slovakia office. You should have expertise in power systems, gas turbines, and sustainable energy. This role requires technical excellence, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration to drive efficiency and innovation. We are looking for a problem-solver with attention to detail and experience managing complex engineering projects.

• Design and integrate electrical systems for modular waste-to-energy plants.
• Develop and optimize power generation equipment in collaboration with manufacturers.
• Oversee the development of the plant’s power island from concept to commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with EU directives and local electrical codes.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues to improve system performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers for equipment procurement.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power system design.
• Proficiency in design tools and PLC programming.
• Strong understanding of power generation processes.
• Knowledge of international standards and industry regulations.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects.
