Senior GIS Consultant - Remote

Overview

UDC is seeking a full-time Senior GIS Consultant with experience configuring, deploying, and managing Esri's Utility Network integrations. The Senior GIS Consultant will provide delivery of high-quality advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients within the energy and utility industry.

In Short

• Provide overall operational and technical leadership for various utility consulting programs
• Represent UDC to prospective and existing customers
• Work with utility personnel at all levels of the organization
• Facilitate presentations and conduct workshops to identify, define, and capture business and technical requirements and best practices
• Manage deliverables for the consulting projects
• Coordinate and monitor consulting projects from initiation through delivery
• Serve as liaison between UDC and the client
• Identify operational system interfaces, constraints, and other non-functional requirements
• Work individually or within a team on technology consulting projects
• Provide business development support to the sales team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent utility and consulting work experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in utility consulting or large-scale projects
• Knowledge of electric, gas and/or water utilities
• Understanding of the Esri product suite
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills
• Ability to prioritize work assignments
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Managerial and supervision skills
• Good understanding of utility business processes
• Able to articulate the business needs around specific utility network models
