Release Manager - Remote

Overview

Trilogy Federal is seeking a Release Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The ideal candidate will have experience managing software releases in complex IT environments, preferably with the VA or a large-scale federal agency, and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.

In Short

• Oversee planning and execution of software releases for VA corporate IT systems.
• Manage Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the SAFe framework.
• Develop and maintain release schedules and track progress using tools like Jira and GitHub.
• Collaborate to ensure releases meet quality, security, and performance standards.
• Facilitate release planning sessions and ensure traceability of requirements.
• Coordinate deployment of legacy and DevSecOps products.
• Monitor and mitigate risks associated with releases.
• Provide release status updates for Biweekly Status Reports.
• Ensure adherence to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
• Support integration of emerging technologies into release processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• SAFe Release Manager certification required.
• 5+ years of experience in release management in federal or VA environments.
• Proven expertise in Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with VA security and privacy standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications and VA-approved release management tools.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and travel to VA sites as needed.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
