Overview

The Microsoft 365 and On-Prem System Administrator will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the Tom James IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and available to support business operations.

In Short

Administer Microsoft 365 tenants and related services.
Install, configure, and maintain servers and operating systems.
Monitor and manage network infrastructure for performance.
Implement security measures to protect systems.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
Develop backup strategies and perform disaster recovery operations.
Manage user accounts and access controls.
Monitor system performance and optimize configurations.
Maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
3-5 years of experience in system administration or network management.
Experience with Microsoft 365 is required.
Proficiency with operating systems like Windows and Linux.
Knowledge of virtualization platforms.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with network protocols like TCP/IP and DNS.
Scripting skills in PowerShell or Bash.
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
