Database Migration Engineer - Remote

Overview

This role involves leading a complex migration initiative from RDS to EC2, focusing on SQL Server instances and databases while utilizing modern DevOps practices and cloud automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of SQL Server administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, EBS, RDS).
• Proficiency in configuration management tools (Chef preferred).
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Experience with database migration methodologies.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
• Understanding of Active Directory and Kerberos.
