Assistant Director - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a creative, sharp-thinking Storyteller / Assistant Director to join our production team. This role blends storytelling instincts with light editing skills to help shape engaging content from the ground up.

In Short

• Support the Director on set by identifying story arcs and standout moments.
• Take detailed notes during filming to track key narrative elements.
• Build Version 1 (v1) cuts from raw footage.
• Apply basic editing skills to structure rough cuts.
• Collaborate closely with editors and producers.
• Ensure footage and notes are organized for editing.
• Act as a key storytelling voice throughout the shoot.

Requirements

• Strong storytelling ability with an understanding of storytelling frameworks.
• Basic editing experience (e.g., Adobe Premiere).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to be on set regularly.
• Proactive mindset for storytelling.
