Overview

As a Patient Financial Advisor, you will support the healthcare team by managing payer verifications and authorizations, ensuring compliance, and providing excellent service to patients and payers.

In Short

• Verify payer status using Cerner worklists.
• Conduct coverage verifications and authorizations in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members on payer changes.
• Monitor daily census for patient payer changes.
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements.
• Assist Utilization team with payer requests.
• Confirm insurance eligibility for patients.
• Work a day shift from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
• Maintain communication with payers for requests.
• Provide support in a faith-based healthcare organization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare financial environment.
• Experience in insurer or public health settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar systems.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance.
• Team player with collaborative skills.
• Proficient in handling insurance documentation.
