Command Center Engineer, CloudOps - Remote

Overview

The Command Center Engineer, CloudOps will monitor and manage the operational health of Vocera solutions in hospitals, ensuring exceptional service delivery and continuity of services.

In Short

• Monitor system alerts and incidents 24/7.
• Serve as the first point of contact for operational issues.
• Lead customer communication and status updates.
• Collaborate with third parties to resolve escalated issues.
• Design and maintain troubleshooting runbooks.
• Author knowledge base articles for internal and external use.
• Develop tools and scripts to improve customer support.
• Coordinate incident response efforts and root cause analysis.
• Maintain logs of incidents and provide reports to management.
• Work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or 6+ years of experience.
• 4+ years in a command center or similar environment, preferably in Healthcare IT.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware) and system administration.
• Experienced in ITIL and command center operations.
• Proficient in Python and Bash for automation.
• Skilled in monitoring tools like Zabbix and Datadog.
• Strong experience with ServiceNow and Salesforce.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
