In Short

• We’re looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer based in the US or EU.
• You’ll help build the backend systems that power StackBlitz.com and Bolt.new.
• Work on platform features, developer infrastructure, and integrations.
• Focus on making software development more accessible to everyone.
• Improve scalability, reliability, and performance of our Ruby on Rails application.
• Design and optimize data storage using PostgreSQL and object storage services.
• Develop integrations with external platforms.
• Help review and shape code from peers to ensure quality and security.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
• 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience with AWS and modern cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with CSS, SASS, HTML, and other templating/styling languages.
• Experience building web applications with REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Strong communication skills, especially when explaining technical topics.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.
