Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Aerospace Design Engineer to join the Space Launch System (SLS) engineering team, contributing to NASA’s Artemis program aimed at human space flight.

In Short

• Support the SLS Core Stage Integrated Design team.
• Develop engineering solutions to meet program metrics.
• Support production operations and launch activities.
• Participate in design reviews and testing.
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues.
• Engage in verification closure and design certification.
• Collaborate with various engineering disciplines.
• Communicate technical information effectively.
• Work on NASA Human Space Flight development programs.
• Provide engineering rationale for production non-conformances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Experience in aerospace structural/mechanical datasets.
• Advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques.
• Ability to analyze data and summarize findings.
• Knowledge of various engineering disciplines.
• Experience with ProE (CREO) and data management systems.
• Ability to communicate across technical functions.
• Launch vehicle experience is preferred.
• Experience working on NASA programs is a plus.
• Knowledge of hardware engineering rationale is beneficial.
