Overview

Sortie is the operating system for rural logistics operators that move passengers, freight, and medevac missions for communities that depend on them, aiming to replace outdated systems with a modern platform.

In Short

• Design the core Sortie ops platform for real-time dispatch and scheduling.
• Define the coexistence of conversational AI and traditional UI.
• Own the design system for dashboards and conversational interfaces.
• Design the customer-facing booking portal.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Engage with actual operators to understand their needs.

Requirements

• Strong systems thinking for safety-critical operations.
• Experience designing complex, data-rich applications.
• Comfort with ambiguity and new interaction patterns.
• Familiarity with responsive and mobile design.
• 3-5 years in a professional design role.
