Overview

The Underwriting Assistant contributes to the success of the underwriting team by partnering with Underwriters to drive sustainable growth, improve profitability, retain accounts and service brokers.

• Provide timely and accurate support to Underwriting.
• Create policy documents for insurance transactions.

• Solicit renewal transactions and support underwriters.

Requirements

• Workers Compensation experience required.
• Prior experience in Property and General Liability preferred.
• Knowledge of underwriting fundamentals.
• Understanding of financial principles.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies like AI.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented and results-focused mentality.
