Overview

The Bankruptcy Specialist is responsible for managing a caseload of mortgage loans in default due to bankruptcy filings, ensuring compliance with investor and insurer policies while providing quality customer service.

In Short

• Manage Active Bankruptcy loans from filing to closing.
• Coordinate with attorneys and trustees for efficient resolutions.
• Prepare legal documents for management execution.
• Maintain knowledge of bankruptcy requirements and updates.
• Review expense invoices for compliance.
• Document all loan-level efforts in Bankruptcy Workstations.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Work independently and goal-oriented.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in bankruptcy processes.
• Understanding of mortgage servicing.
• Knowledge of investor/insurer bankruptcy requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently.
• Goal-oriented mindset.
