Facilities Engineer - Remote

Overview

Sequoia is seeking a Facilities Engineer with experience in the management, execution, and day-to-day support of building and plant operations, including labs, manufacturing plants, utilities, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will perform routine inspections, maintain documented records, and be on-call for emergencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and GMPs. Effective communication and collaboration with various departments are essential to meet the facility’s needs and quickly resolve any issues.

In Short

• Schedule, coordinate, and oversee outside service providers for routine CM and PM Program tasks.
• Support verification and maintenance with PIDs, HVAC, electrical, one-lines, and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
• Ensure all Corrective Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance Program tasks are completed and documented properly.
• Perform, schedule, coordinate, and oversee emergency troubleshooting and repair on various HVAC, mechanical, utility systems, and lab and manufacturing equipment.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and facility utilities to identify any issues.
• Maintain documented records of inspections, preventative maintenance activities, and any repairs.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies with a clear understanding of emergency response procedures.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication.
• Troubleshoot systems to quickly identify and resolve issues.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 0-2 years of Project/Facilities Engineering experience.
• Facilities background preferred.
• Process Equipment experience.
• CAPEX experience.
• GMP cleanroom experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of facility systems, utilities, and equipment.
