Value Optimization Engineer - Electrical - Remote

Overview

The Value Optimization Engineer (VOE) is responsible for planning, validating, and implementing cost reduction ideas to meet the Value Optimization Savings target by system and commodity area. The selected candidate will collaborate with engineers, suppliers, vehicle integration, purchasing, quality, finance, etc. on thorough evaluation, validation and presentation of recommended ideas and their associated business cases.

In Short

• Supports system level savings for electrical components.
• Generates and organizes ideas for system level proposals.
• Partners with engineering and suppliers for implementation of value optimization ideas.
• Adheres to key product development principles and processes.
• Reports to the Global VO Manager/Drivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred).
• 3 years of experience as part of an engineering team.
• Project management experience.
• Advanced English skills.
• Experience in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in cost savings.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-starter approach, high motivation, goal-oriented.
