Overview

The Design and Release Engineer for EE Lighting Validation is responsible for the execution and design development of truth tables, function maps, and vehicle function software implementation with lighting suppliers and the validation of the above.

In Short

  • Responsible for design development and validation of lighting systems.
  • Manage development, integration, and validation of signal lighting and EE systems.
  • Lead and manage internal ECU development and vehicle validation.
  • Support meetings throughout NA work hours.
  • Work closely with local engineering teams and program science teams.
  • Experience with large injection molded components.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficient in CAD software including Catia V5 and NX.
  • Experience with DFMEA and validation plans.
  • Applicants must reside and be legally authorized to work in Mexico.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years design, release, and CAD packaging experience.
  • Experience with injection molding and decorating plastic components.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer proficient in spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Experience with OEM or supplier design and release.
  • Preferred: Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of EMC and ESD design/prevention.
  • Problem-solving skills and experience with DFSS.
  • Prior exposure to automotive lighting specifications is an asset.
