Associate Attorney - Remote

Overview

Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our General Liability Defense Practice Group in our Austin, Texas office. This practice includes a broad range of complex civil defense matters, including trucking and transportation, premises liability, product liability, toxic tort/asbestos litigation, and other general liability matters.

In Short

• Manage a litigation caseload with partner guidance and mentorship
• Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and manage written discovery
• Appear in court and actively participate in trials and trial preparation
• Defend clients in various civil liability matters
• Work directly with sophisticated clients on complex litigation

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Texas
• At least 3 years of experience in civil litigation
• Experience in specific areas of liability defense preferred
• Strong skills in legal research and writing
• Experience managing key litigation responsibilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
