• Core responsibility is sourcing news in a timely fashion.
• Adding news titles and sources to Asana for writers to claim.
• Understanding what makes a good news title/angle.
• Making judgments on what is flash news vs news vs features.
• Ensuring news quotas are hit.
• Assigning news articles and communicating with writers.
• Editing news articles and prioritizing timely edits.
• Prepping soft/niche news for weekends.
• Providing writer feedback and development.
• Writing news articles when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in producing entertainment content.
• In-depth familiarity with the entertainment industry.
• Experience with SEO practices.
• Experience with a custom CMS is preferred.
