Senior System Engineer - Cloud and Data Center - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a key player to join our team, focusing on our core data center and cloud platforms for clients in the fast-paced financial services industry. This is a true engineering role, not a simple administration position. You will be challenged to solve complex problems and design robust, scalable solutions.

In Short

• Architect & Implement: Lead the design, implementation, and support of new technology projects.
• Manage Core Platforms: Take ownership of multi-tenant infrastructure, including VMware, Proxmox, and Azure.
• Optimize & Maintain: Proactively monitor systems and manage storage.
• Troubleshoot & Resolve: Act as a final escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with a team of skilled engineers.
• Provide Critical Support: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for critical infrastructure.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years in a system engineering role.
• Experience with RedHat Openshift, VMware, Proxmox, and Azure.
• Knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Experience with Pure Storage and HPE.
• Proficient in Windows Server and Linux.
• Experience with CheckMK or similar monitoring tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
• Self-starter with ownership mentality.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
• Industry certifications like Azure Solutions Architect Expert are desirable.
