FWS Writing Coach - Remote

Overview

Saybrook University is seeking a FWS Writing Coach to join Writing Services. The Writing Coach will provide one-on-one coaching to help students develop their writing skills using various technologies.

In Short

• Provide one-on-one coaching support for students.
• Create supporting documents and materials.
• Write reports about completed coaching sessions.
• Coordinate appointments with students at least 2 days in advance.
• Participate in weekly team meetings.
• Complete onboarding training modules.
• Facilitate breakout rooms during events if needed.
• Collaborate with full-time staff on writing events.
• Use technology for communication and document collaboration.
• Maintain good academic standing and commit to a minimum of 5 hours per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Must be an actively enrolled Saybrook student eligible for Federal Work Study.
• Competent college-level reading comprehension and writing skills.
• Prior experience tutoring or teaching.
• Experience working with students remotely.
• Experience facilitating online workshops or seminars.
• Regular access to the internet and video conferencing platforms.
