Family Law & Estate Planning Paralegal - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Paralegal to join a woman owned and operated Family Law & Estate Planning firm located in Bellevue, WA. This is a full-time position working remotely.

In Short

• Answer phone calls and handle new client intakes.
• Update clients daily on their case activity.
• Work with attorneys to draft civil motions and estate documents.
• Manage and close case files; organize documents in a filing system.
• Confirm court appearance information and verify court appearances.
• Draft and review discovery requests.
• Gather evidence and process subpoenas.
• Communicate with court clerks, judges, and opposing counsel.
• Ensure on-time delivery of email and mail communications.
• Coordinate and schedule various case-related appointments.

Requirements

• Strong professional ethics, reliability, and accountability.
• Associates degree or Paralegal certification preferred.
• High-level proficiency in MS Office suite, Excel, Adobe/Foxit Phantom.
• Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw.
• Working knowledge of Dropbox, Zoom, Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply new software principles.
• Obsessive attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent internet research and investigation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
