Grant Writer - Remote

Overview

The Grant Writer is responsible for securing annual grant funding from various organizations to support the mission of San José Clinic. This role involves researching opportunities, writing proposals, and managing the grants program.

In Short

• Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations and corporations.
• Write and submit grant applications and donor reports.
• Manage relationships with current donors and prospects.
• Evaluate funding opportunities to secure revenue.
• Participate in meetings to identify funding priorities.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
• Support branding and marketing activities related to grants.
• Represent the clinic at community events.
• Assist the Chief Advancement Officer and Grants Administrator.
• Adhere to ethical principles in fundraising practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in writing, business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of one year of grant writing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and donor management software.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
