The Robert R. McCormick Foundation is a philanthropic organization dedicated to fostering thriving communities in the Chicagoland area, ensuring that all individuals have access to the resources and opportunities necessary for success, regardless of their background. Established in 1955 in memory of Colonel Robert R. McCormick, the former editor and publisher of the Chicago Tribune, the Foundation has invested over $1.8 billion in various initiatives, focusing on early childhood education, public safety, community development, veterans, and journalism, particularly in Chicago's South and West Sides. Additionally, the Foundation manages Cantigny Park, a public space that offers educational and recreational opportunities, hosting a variety of events and programs throughout the year.
The Summer Research Intern will support the Robert R. McCormick Foundation's grantmaking through research and analysis projects in a hybrid work environment.
