Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will help future proof our existing Kubernetes-based platform by enhancing its functionalities and ensuring its reliability in production.

In Short

• Enhance Kubernetes platform based on requirements from various teams.
• Implement missing functionalities in open source tools.
• Set up CICD pipelines for regression and release management.
• Work with upstream project maintainers for integration of customizations.
• Test new versions of platform components and prepare for upgrades.
• Identify areas needing improvement and potential replacements for components.
• Assist SRE team with automation of cluster diagnostics and recovery.
• Help development teams set up their CICD pipelines and GitOps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of running Kubernetes in production.
• 2+ years of Golang development.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes APIs and concepts.
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools like Argo CD or Flux.
• Experience with Kubernetes client libraries and test-driven development.
• Ability to customize open source tools written in Golang.
• Familiarity with ingress solutions like Envoy or Nginx.
• Experience in automating infrastructure tasks with Kubernetes.
