Overview

ProArch, a leading technology company, is seeking a skilled and proactive Oracle DBA with deep expertise in automation and shell scripting, specifically within Oracle’s multitenant (CDB/PDB) architecture. This role focuses on optimizing and automating routine DBA operations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability across multiple database instances.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain Shell scripts to automate daily DBA tasks in multitenant environments.
• Automate PDB-level operations: creation, cloning, unplug/plug, refreshes, and performance monitoring.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN with automated scheduling and logging.
• Manage and monitor CDB and PDB performance, storage, and security.
• Develop automation for startup/shutdown, tablespace monitoring, and user/role management across all PDBs.
• Maintain clear documentation for automation scripts and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and compliance in multitenant setups.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle’s multitenant architecture.
• Expertise in shell scripting and automation tools.
• Experience with RMAN for backup and recovery.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize database performance.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
