Overview

As a doula in the Pomelo network, you will educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, playing a vital role in improving birth outcomes.

In Short

• Join a multi-disciplinary team focused on improving care for moms and babies.
• Educate and support families during pregnancy and postpartum.
• Flexible scheduling to choose how many clients to see.
• Credentialing support for insurance acceptance.
• Experience working as a doula is required.
• Strong communication skills needed.
• Comfortable with telehealth and electronic documentation.
• Work virtually and in-person, including evenings and weekends.
• Contract role, not eligible for employee benefits.

Requirements

• Completed certification/training as a birth and/or full spectrum doula.
• Experience with pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using telehealth platforms and video conferencing tools.
• Able to work virtually and in-person.
• Must provide proof of doula certification and NPI number.
• Adult & Infant CPR & First Aid Certification required.
• Liability insurance is recommended.
• Complete an OIG background screening.
• Support for Texas state Medicaid enrollment available.
