Overview

As a Freelance Level Designer at Pixaera, you will collaborate with design leadership and subject matter experts to create engaging interactive experiences using Unreal Engine 5.

In Short

• Collaborate with design leadership and subject matter experts to bring storyboards to life in Unreal Engine 5.
• Use Sequencer to build fully functional greyboxes for asset implementation.
• Partner with designers, programmers, and artists to refine tools and workflows.
• Work with AI-powered localisation tools to adapt interactive experiences.
• Polish, debug, and optimise levels for PC, VR, and web-based experiences.
• Contribute to UX, pacing, and narrative flow of the overall experience.
• Define, estimate, and track tasks using online project management tools.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth integration and communication.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Unreal Engine 5 for crafting interactive experiences.
• Proven experience in game design and/or level design.
• Understanding of core principles of interactive design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with production and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Organized and reliable with the ability to deliver tasks independently.
