Cloud Engineer GCP - Remote

Overview

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design and development of cloud architectures, solutions, and migration strategies to support Paymentology's business objectives, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

In Short

• Lead the design and development of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architectures.
• Create scalable, resilient cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions in GCP and AWS.
• Design and optimize GCP and AWS networking services.
• Implement cloud security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Provide technical support for cloud infrastructure and services.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and trends.
• Create documentation and best practice guides for cloud environments.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in designing cloud-based solutions.
• Deep hands-on experience in Google Cloud (GCP) and AWS.
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control management.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• GCP Certified Professional Cloud Architect (advantage).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
