Data Engineer - Power BI - Remote

Overview

Particle41 is looking for a skilled and adaptable Data Engineer (Power BI) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, optimising data warehouse/lakehouse solutions, and delivering reliable, analysis-ready datasets. You will also play a key role in developing and enhancing Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions, ensuring performance, accuracy, and business relevance. Working closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders, you’ll deliver end-to-end data and BI solutions that drive meaningful outcomes for our clients. In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build and optimize data lakes / data warehouses / lakehouse structures.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from internal and external systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Maintain strong documentation for data pipelines and reporting logic.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
• Work in Agile development cycles.
• Perform thorough testing of pipelines and reports.
• Stay updated on trends in data engineering and BI analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / BI Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling and DAX.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and query optimization.
• Proficiency in Python for data transformation and automation.
• Experience with data warehousing principles and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable working in Linux and writing basic shell scripts.
