Overview

Opus1 is building the platform that powers the next generation of performing arts education. We help music schools manage, grow, and engage their communities through modern, intuitive software that connects administrators, instructors, and students.

In Short

  • Own key product areas that delight and retain our core user base while scaling into new performing arts verticals.
  • Translate business goals and customer insights into clear product strategies, roadmaps, and requirements.
  • Conduct market and competitive research, distilling findings into actionable insights to inform strategic bets and long-term product direction.
  • Partner with design, engineering, and customer-facing teams to deliver features that are well prioritized, well launched, and widely adopted.
  • Drive product discovery by deeply understanding user needs, running experiments, and using data to inform decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership on cross-functional alignment, product operations, and scalable best practices.
  • Drive cross-functional go-to-market enablement initiatives to align product strategy with sales, marketing, and customer success teams, ensuring effective launch readiness and revenue impact.
  • Establish measurable success criteria for product initiatives and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support post-launch adoption programs by collaborating with marketing and customer success to ensure sustained engagement.
  • Help define and refine product processes as the org grows, bringing structure and clarity to how we plan, execute, and measure success.
  • Mentor other PMs, modeling best-in-class product thinking, execution rigor, and stakeholder communication.
  • Contribute to building a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B2C SaaS.
  • Experience in or passion for creative or educational domains (music, dance, arts).
  • Strong product execution skills. Able to take ambiguous goals, build alignment, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management. You can tell the story of “why” and “what” clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Comfort operating in early-stage environments: you can define processes where none exist and prioritize effectively amid change.
  • Experience using analytics and tools like Pendo or similar to drive data-informed product decisions.
  • A collaborative mindset. You bring teams together and elevate those around you.
  • Bonus: Experience launching and scaling mobile products (preferably with whitelabel or multi-tenant functionality).

Benefits

  • Impact and ownership: You’ll play a defining role in how thousands of owners, managers, educators, students, and parents experience Opus1.
  • Rapid growth: We’re scaling fast, which means constant opportunities to take on new challenges and shape the future of the product.
  • Culture of trust: Work with a transparent, thoughtful leadership team that values autonomy and alignment over bureaucracy.
  • Creative mission: Help empower the next generation of musicians, singers, and dancers with technology that supports their passion.
  • Fully remote: Work from anywhere in the U.S., with a distributed team that values flexibility and outcomes.
