Accountant - Remote

Overview

As an Accountant, you will perform moderately complex professional accounting work in the recording and reporting of financial transactions, preparing financial statements, regulatory filings, and performing analyses.

In Short

• Ensure timely and accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of the general ledger.
• Prepare work papers, financial statements, and various reports.
• Research and analyze fluctuations in financial results.
• Work with auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
• Create quarterly and annual statements converting from GAAP to statutory accounting.
• Recommend changes in accounting systems and procedures.
• Assist with budget activity and expenditure coding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 2+ years experience in an accounting environment.
• 2+ years using accounting and auditing principles including GAAP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in spreadsheet applications.
• Clean credit history.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment.
