Overview

As a Security Engineer at OpenAI, you will be part of a team dedicated to building, operating, and securing transformational AI technologies, focusing on Detection & Response and contributing as a generalist in security.

In Short

• Drive projects in major security verticals including AppSec, InfraSec, OffSec, and Detection and Response.
• Innovate to solve novel security problems.
• Collaborate on cutting-edge AI research to improve security posture.
• Build tools for managing detection rules lifecycle.
• Develop, measure, and tune detection rules for effective operations.
• Automate manual response processes.
• Ensure visibility and control of OpenAI’s endpoint fleet.
• Drive improvements in identity access and management and device management.
• Work with public cloud environments like AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Requirements

• Experience in Security or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Knowledge of modern adversary tactics and techniques.
• Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Ability to collaborate and manage projects independently.
