General Accountant for US Companies - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled General Accountant to manage the end-to-end accounting processes for US-based companies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in US GAAP, proficiency in managing accounting platforms, and a strong background in working with American companies. This is a fully remote position requiring a dedicated and exclusive work-from-home setup.

In Short

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Manage AP/AR processes, including billing, invoicing, and payment tracking.
• Perform periodic reconciliations for bank accounts and other financial records.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial closings, including journal entries.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports including P&L statements.
• Develop budgets and monitor expenses.
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards.
• Work efficiently using accounting platforms like QuickBooks and NetSuite.
• Coordinate with clients and team members for financial inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting.
• Proven experience working with US-based companies.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks and SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis.
