• Lead the Backend Platform teams including Data Platform, API & Integrations, and Applied AI.
• Shape the vision across data, APIs, and AI enablement.
• Coach Engineering Managers and help them grow and navigate ambiguity.
• Ensure backend systems are observable, secure, and performant.
• Collaborate with PM, Design, and engineering leaders to align technical work with user outcomes.
• Guide the evolution of microservices, cloud infrastructure, and AI foundations.
• Model low-ego, context-rich leadership to build a healthy culture.

Requirements

• 2+ years leading managers in backend or platform teams.
• 6–10+ years of engineering experience, especially in backend or infrastructure.
• Experience in growing healthy teams and mentoring Engineering Managers.
• Strong grasp of backend platforms: Node.js, Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS.
• Experience with data pipelines and API ecosystems.
• History of driving multi-quarter platform roadmaps in product-led companies.
